On February 25, 2020, the Mercaptor Discoveries team participated in the 5th Annual Rare Disease Day Virtual Race by walking a 5K. The walk was sponsored by Running On Air to benefit the National Organization for Rare Diseases (NORD) and the Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) Foundation. Throughout the world, over 300 million people are living with a rare disease. Mercaptor Discoveries showed our support for those living with one or more of the 7,000 different rare diseases that exist worldwide by showing our stripes to raise awareness. We sincerely believe that with continued scientific research, care and perseverance we can find cures and solutions to rare diseases.
